As we reported earlier in the week, on Smackdown tomorrow night Triple H will announce a stipulation to the main event of Survivor Series which will see all of Team Cena fired from WWE should the team lose against Team Authority.
According to several readers, including Ty Housley, during the segment taped for Smackdown this week in which Triple H adds the main event stipulation, he actually left John Cena off the names of those who could be fired.
Triple H actually said John Cena would be exempt from being fired as he’s too valuable to the company, but the rest of Team Cena would be fired should Cena’s team lose the match.
Paglino: As of now the show has yet to air in any market, so it remains to be seen how much of Triple H’s segment, if any, will be edited before the show airs.
If Triple H does indeed announce John Cena will not be fired, then this is a very interesting twist in the story line. I previously maintained WWE would never keep Cena off TV for longer than a day, so the stipulation seemed uninteresting, but with Cena being left off the names of those who could be fired, the main event of Survivor Series becomes much less predictable.
