Former UFC Fighter Challanges CM Punk – “I’ll Break Your Neck”

MMA fighter Phil Baroni has been talking a little trash about former WWE Champion CM Punk. He posted the following on Twitter and Instagram this afternoon:

“I’ll bust you up. Call Coker , move da [expletive] needle. Wa Wa 3H was mean to me. Vince owes me. Wa Wa. . Your gona love MMA and @Danawhite it’s so fair ova here. Ryback hurt you? I’ll break your [expletive] Neck #whineybitch”

Baroni is referring to Scott Coker, the current President of Bellator MMA, who recently made headlines when he claimed the company is interested in any talent that can “move the needle”, in reference to current WWE Champion and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.

cm punkThe idea of CM Punk doing MMA has been around for several years, as the “Second City Saint” is a major fan of the UFC and good friends with controversial fighter Chael Sonnen. UFC President Dana White got the buzz started again after telling TMZ that he wouldn’t mind having a conversation with Punk if he were ever interested in entering the sport.

Unfortunately for Phil Baroni, who refers to himself as the “New York Bad Ass”, it’s not likely he’ll ever get the fight he’s trying to pick. He’s currently 38-years-old (just two years older than Punk), and after a career fighting for UFC, Pride, Strikeforce and Bellator, he’s amassed a professional record of 15-18, losing 8 of his last 10 fights over 5 years. He’s also currently fighting in the Welterweight division, and assuming CM Punk’s billed weight in WWE was an over-shot, training would likely set him somewhere between Middleweight and Light Heavyweight.
