Rumor Killer: Roman Reigns to Replace Dean Ambrose in WWE TLC Match?

Roman_reigns.JPGThere is a rumor going around the internet, following last night’s Wrestling Observer Radio, that WWE has plans to replace Dean Ambrose in this weekend’s Tables, Ladders & Chairs match. Word is that Roman Reigns will be added to the show at the last minute, and will compete against Bray Wyatt at Sunday’s WWE TLC pay-per-view.

The rumor started because of an inaccurate transcription of Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez’s podcast. The two were previewing tonight’s Slammy Awards episode of WWE Raw, and Bryan asked whether or not Dean Ambrose will be on the pay-per-view card, as WWE is playing up a “crushed trachea” injury, which can be a major life-threatening injury in reality. Meltzer speculated that WWE could add Roman Reigns to the show to face Wyatt to give him a solid win before January’s Royal Rumble match, but it was in no way a “report” or “confirmation” that the angle will take place.

The last report that came out in regards to Roman Reigns was that he is currently training for a return, and is still expected to compete in the Royal Rumble (and likely win the match), but WWE does not want to rush his in-ring return because his injury could set him back a lot longer if re-aggravated.
