NXT Star Announces Retirement

wwe nxtCorey Graves joined Renee Young on the NXT Takeover: R Evolution pre-show. 

Graves told Young that he had trained on the indie circuit for 9 years and WWE helped to make his dream to come. Unfortunately, he sustained multiple concussions during his time training in NXT, and the doctors have told him that he can’t compete anymore. Graves officially announced his retirement from in-ring wrestling. 

However, WWE will be keeping him on the roster going forward, and he will make his debut as an announcer for NXT during tonight’s two-hour live broadcast. 

Major Kevin Owens Update

A major announcement has been made for tonight’s NXT Takeover: R Evolution broadcast. Kevin Owens – former Ring of Honor Champion Kevin Steen – will make his in-ring debut to kick off the show.
