WZ Ranker List: Which NXT Talent is Most Likely to Become a Major WWE Star?

Now that 2014 is drawing to a close, and the final NXT live special is in the books, WZ wants to know which NXT name you think is most likely to become a major WWE star.

Keep in mind we’re not asking which NXT you want to see pushed heavily on WWE’s main roster, but rather which name you think overall has the most potential to become the next “John Cena” type name in WWE.

Pags’ Pick: Finn Balor.

A very, very close second for me is Sami Zayn, but Balor has the showmanship necessary for the WWE main roster. Balor’s ring entrance at R Evolution was nearly as brilliant as The Undertaker’s, and there’s something extraordinary about how he presents himself in the ring that separates him from other NXT talents.

Guys like Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville are tremendous, no doubt, but making it big on the WWE main roster is all about connecting your character with the audience and I think at this point Finn Balor has the best shot of making that happen in a big way.

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
