Lana Posts Photo of WWE European Championship & Quickly Deletes It; Plans for a Major Angle Involving Rusev?

WWE European ChampionshipThis weekend, WWE manager Lana posted an interesting photo on her official Instagram account, and then quickly deleted it, according to multiple online sources. The photo, depicted right, is of the European Championship, which was retired in 2002.

There has been rumors since Rusev picked up steam in WWE that they could bring back the inactive title to help build him up. He is currently the United States Champion, and will step into the ring again with the “All-American American” Jack Swagger this Sunday on pay-per-view. This could be an indication, although far from a confirmation, that Rusev will retain at WWE TLC and somehow trade out the titles in the future.

Some have speculated that this is just a left over image taken from an old photo shoot the WWE conducted, placing classic titles on current roster members. In that gallery, WWE Superstars Drew McIntyre, William Regal, Bad News Barrett, Santino and Cesaro all posed with the European Championship, with one major difference – the image allegedly posted by Lana features the new WWE logo.
