NXT Champion Sami Zayn is out to kick off the broadcast, as Jason Albert mentions its been four long weeks since Kevin Owens brutally assaulted him at NXT Takeover. Loud “Ole!” chants keep him from talking, so Zayn runs out into the crowd and celebrates with them for a minute. Eventually he gets back in the ring and the crowd tells him “you deserve it”. Zayn says that in anybody else’s hands the NXT title means you’re the best, but in his hands its proof that he can do this “his way” and succeed. He calls the fans his band of Zayniacs and says they all make the music people love.

Serious time – Zayn says NXT Takeover should have been the best night of his life, but Kevin Owens stood in the ring and shed blood, sweat and tears, and then stabbed him in the back. He says Owens hurt him, but he didn’t finish the job, and he’s ready to defend the title anytime, anywhere.

Perhaps not the man he was expecting, Adrian Neville walks down to the ring. He puts over Zayn as the “better man” at Takeover, and saw a new man that night. The champ notes that a challenger is entitled to a rematch – William Regal’s music cuts them off. Regal thanks them both for their incredible match, then makes the rematch between Zayn and Neville official for next week on NXT, the first show on Wednesday night.
