WWE Takes Shot At NFL

A subtle jab was made by the RAW commentary team towards the NFL and NBC commentators Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth.

Deadspin.com made the reported connection, mentioning Michaels and Collinsworth read a prepared statement by the NFL on Saturday night’s NBC broadcast. The two read the statement that praised Goodell and talked about the NFL’s ‘integrity’, which was then mocked by WWE on RAW.

RAW announcers Michael Cole, JBL and Booker T referenced and read from a ‘statement from the Authority’, also talking about the integrity. Booker T took a dig about it, and JBL responded with ‘easy, Bill Simmons’, the ESPN and Grantland writer who was suspended earlier this year for making “disparaging” remarks towards Goodell.
