Original plans called for the next NXT Takeover special to air during March, during the final weeks of preparation for WrestleMania 31, according to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Prior to the last television taping, plans were changed and several angles – including the main event program between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens – were accelerated, with an announced date of February 11th for the two-hour live special.
The next set of NXT tapings will be on 2/12, with a second set of tapings on 2/18 that will take them past WrestleMania. With the roster being in Columbus, OH for the Arnold Classic on March 5th, and WrestleMania on March 29th, the feeling is that WWE officials want to have everything in place ahead of time for NXT, and doesn’t want to worry about the additional stress of another WWE Network live show, or running another set of TV tapings in the midst of that chaos.
