TIME Magazine’s website picked up on the #CancelWWENetwork hashtag that was trending last night, after fans revolted and voiced their displeasure with the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
It was reported that fans were chanting “refund” after the PPV, held at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center, and there was enough traffic on the WWE Network cancellation page that the site crashed. The TIME article was just one in a number of major media outlets that picked up on the hashtag, although this article recapped last night’s event as well as attempted to blame the WWE Network as another ‘setback’ for the company.
