New NWA World Champion Crowned
Hiroyoshi Tenzan defeated Rob Conway to become the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion at this weekend’s New Japan Pro Wrestling pay-per-view event, “The New Beginning in Sendai”.
This is Tenzan’s first run with the title, and brings the belt back to the New Japan family again, after Satoshi Kojima dropped the title in January 2014. U.S. fans may remember Conway for his runs with WWE between 2000 and 2007, where he is a 3-time World Tag Team Champion as a part of the La Resistance tag team. His title reign ended at 257 days, the second longest o the last five years.
RVD Takes Shot at WWE Writers
Rob Van Dam took a shot at the current WWE creative team when asked if he had thought about coming back to the company. RVD was last seen in August, losing to Seth Rollins on an episode of Smackdown.
