Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “Neutral = Below Average”

Daniel Bryan defeated The Miz

The Miz and Damien Mizdow continue their shenanigans, but Daniel Bryan begins to hit some kicks and a hurricanranna until The Miz is down.

He is able to duck a knee strike and head to the outside. Miz stomps at Bryan a few times, but Bryan comes back firing with some kicks and then applies the Yes Lock for the win.

There was not much of a match here and Daniel Bryan was not really used more than just a quick pop to the crowd. Raw was so high for Bryan and Reigns, so this just feels like the writers phoned it in. It is not a bad thing, but I do think they could have done something else to further enhance the match on Sunday. With Reigns’ win over Harper, he also remains neutral heading into Sunday.

Ryback defeated Kane

Ryback and Kane start off exchanging some blows and Kane ducks a clothesline to hit a side suplex. Ryback gets wrung up on the top rope and Kane is in control. Ryback comes back with a front slam and a splash. He hits a spine buster for a two count before he heads up to the top. Kane punches Ryback off the ropes and he barely makes the ten count inside. Ryback hits a Shell Shock for the win.

Ryback gets a decent win tonight over Kane. Even though we have seen this for the past few months, it is an easy way to keep both men from dropping completely off the radar. Ryback needs to keep winning. I am not sure what his plans are for WrestleMania. Maybe he is a likely candidate to win the battle royal, if they have one. Hopefully, it will do more for him than it did for Cesaro.
