New Japan Pro Wrestling ran their first English language United States pay-per-view on January 4th with Wrestle Kingdom 9, and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting the event was most likely seen as a success, in terms of buys.
However, while the original hope was to run Invasion Attack on April 5th as the second pay-per-view, also featuring an English announce team, it’s just not going to happen that quickly. If one is to happen, the most logical places are either the July 5th Dominion show, or as Jeff Jarrett has noted in the past, the G1 Climax finals. The issue with the later is that even though it’s technically a bigger show, with a lot more hype, they can’t really advertise the match card without spoiling the entire tournament.
