Ring of Honor may have some big plans for wrestling veteran Samoa Joe, who made his return to the promotion tonight for the first time since 2008.
Prior to the main event – a four man match for the ROH World Championship – Joe took to the ring and was covered in streamers by his adoring fans. The “Samoan Submission Machine” announced his intention to fight, and win the world title, currently held by Jay Briscoe.
Joe is the longest reigning ROH World Champion in company history, holding the title for 645 days with an impressive 29 title defenses that including a critically acclaimed series with CM Punk, and matches with names like Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan.
