Mysterio/Lucha Underground Update

While it’s still expected that Rey Mysterio will sign a deal with Lucha Underground, the contract still hasn’t been inked at this point. It’s possible he could make his debut at this weekend’s television taping in Los Angeles, but Mysterio will only be working very limited in-ring dates to attempt to extend his wrestling career as far as possible. When he does work dates, it’ll mostly be television, major live shows and pay-per-view with Lucha Underground and AAA.
As previously noted, if the promotion can secure a move to Univision there’s talk of using Mysterio and Alberto El Patron – two globally recognized stars – to turn Lucha Underground into a major show.
