More Details on Why Bobby Heenan Needed Surgery

As noted, “Mean” Gene Okerlund revealed on Twitter today that WWE Hall of Famer Bobby Heenan underwent successful surgery.

According to the Facebook page of T-Mart Promotions, Heenan’s wife notified them that he fell last night and that is why he needed surgery. Heenan subsequently had to pull out of appearances for the next several months, including his Legends of the Ring and Wrestling Universe Store appearances on Sunday, September 21st.

JR in Talks to Air One-Man Show on the WWE Network

In his latest blog posted over at JRsBarBQ.com, Jim Ross had the following to say about his one-man show potentially airing on the WWE Network:

“We are in talks with WWE to tape a version of our RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross show for airing on the WWE Network at some point in the future. Details are still being discussed but this could happen much sooner than later. If all the details get finalized we would likely tape the show in Orlando at the NXT Arena. Fingers crossed for this project which I hope will lead to more opportunities to contribute to @WWENetwork.”

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
