WWE European Tour Results

4/16/15

Budapest, Hungary

Say what you want but this is WWE history. First time in Hungary. Maybe you think Budapest is at the end of the world but WWE programming is available here since 1990 so it is no surprise that the venue is almost sold out. Lets hope that it’s a good business for WWE and they come back.

Match 1: Bad News Barrett vs Jimmy Uso:

Bad News Barrett comes out and says that he is happy that Daniel Bryan is injured so he has no opponent today, can go straight to the airport and leave this dirty little country immediately. Jimmy Uso arrives and beats him. Barrett looked  great, he made heat and the crowd were into the match. Great  start.

Match 2: Tyson Kidd & Cesaro vs Los Matadores vs The New Day for the WWE Tag Team Championship

The crowd is chanting for Cesaro from the very beginning. New Day sucks chants is all over the arena which means that the crowd is very up-to date. That is a surprise. Fun match with Torito and Kofi at the corners (no Natalya), entertaining wrestling by Cesaro. Cesaro and Kidd won, of course.

Match 3: Emma, Layla & Natalya vs Cameron, Tamina Snuka & Rosa Mendes

It is good to see Tamina is back. When I was in the elementary school I was a big fan of her father. Rosa looks gorgeous as always, Emma is much better live than in TV and I hardly recognize Layla because her new hair style. Tamina could be a monster if we can say that for a diva, that is for sure. Hope she is back for good. Natalya, Layla and Emma won.

Match 4: Finn Bálor vs Adam Rose

Another surprise that Balor receives a big pop. He is extraordinary in the ring and the crowd is devoted. My girlfriend says he could be the new CM Punk. Rose is defeated as expected. Bálor shines.

Match 5: Dolph Ziggler & Roman Reigns vs Sheamus & Big Show

Big names here. Reigns comes to the arena very near to us, great. Show looks more dangerous than in TV. There are signs in the crowd like “welcome home, Dolph”. I think Hungary is no home for Ziggler but his birth name (Nemeth) is definitely Hungarian. Maybe its time to search for Hungarian ancestors. Ziggler is over like hell, especially when he gives autographs to the crowd. It is a win for Reigns and Ziggler, we knew that.

Match 6: The Miz & Fandango vs Mizdow & Zack Ryder

What can I say? This match is pure fun (except the ending) and it is because of Mizdow. He even yells at the Miz in Hungarian: KUSS! (means: shut up). Fandango is injured (!), ankle seems to be the problem, the referee shows the sign and the match has a quick end. Mizdow & Ryder wins and I hope it is not serious for Fandango. Rosa helps him out. Still, Mizdow is one of the biggest stars of the night.

Match 7: Bray Wyatt vs Erick Rowan

Great entrance with all the fireflies (crowd chants: Undertaker). Huge characters and it seems everybody likes the match. Bray wins of course and  he gives some help to Rowan, they walk out together. W.Family is back again? We will see.

Macth 8: John Cena vs Rusev for the United Stated Championship

Cena gets the biggest pop of the night no doubt. Still he seems to be a bit distracted and tired, but he gives his best. Lana and Rusev is much-much more convincing than in TV. Cena wins, still champion, as expected.

Maybe this seems to be an average show for a US fan but guys this is WWE first time in Hungary . Cena sucks chants were overwhelmed by Lets go Cena. Mizdow spoke Hungarian. And Ziggler was considered a native Hungarian! Is there anything more you want to asked for?
