Samoa Joe Convinced CM Punk Wants One More Match With Him

Samoa JoeThanks to Jules Allen for sending in the following:

Samoa Joe recently appeared on Jim Ross’ “Ross Report” podcast, and spoke on a number subjects including his career, rumors surrounding where he might end up and more.

On the subject of facing past opponents again, Joe says he is convinced CM Punk wants another shot at facing him, as the two had a long standing rivalry in Ring of Honor:

“I’ve got the people that I’ve already wrestled,” Joe said. “I mean, obviously I’d like to go out and wrestle AJ [Styles], maybe even Chris [Daniels] if you want to throw him in there too. You know, [CM Punk] Punk. For everything it is we’ve still I know he very much wants to have one last one, one last go. I’m sure he’d love for it to be 100 minutes or 90 minutes but we’ll see how that goes.”

Jerry Lawler Says WWE Stars “Far Outshine” UFC Stars

Steven Muehlhausen of SportingNews.com recently spoke with WWE commentator and Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler at the C2E2 convention in Chicago.

Lawler on Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 31:

“I think a lot of people would look at that as saying, oh here’s a big star from the UFC coming into the WWE world. In the grand scheme of things, the stars in the WWE far outshine the stars in the UFC worldwide and in popularity. It’s always a great marriage so to speak. When you can get the rub off of each other. It’s like cross-promotion. It’s good for everybody involved. And to see Ronda Rousey in a WWE ring and I know for me because I’m a big fan of her, it was exciting, it was fun and it caused a bit of talk which is exactly what it was designed to do.”
