NXT Star Works Smackdown
NXT Superstar Tyler Breeze wrestled a dark match at tonight’s WWE Smackdown and Main Event television taping, losing to Fandango. Breeze will be in action in a #1 contender’s match at NXT Takeover next week, originally scheduled to face Finn Balor and Hideo Itami in triple threat action. We are still awaiting news on Itami’s status following a recent injury.
Goldust Post-Surgery Update
Goldust posted the following post-surgery photo on Twitter earlier today. As we’ve been reported, the WWE Superstar had work down on his shoulder, and is expected to be out of action for 2-4 months. It’s unknown what the company’s plans are for him, if any at all, once he has been cleared to compete.

There have been rumors for quite some time that Goldust’s time as a full-time competitor has come to an end, following the 46-year-old veteran’s successful tag team run with brother Cody Rhodes (aka Stardust). Should his in-ring career come to an end, it’s likely WWE would like to keep him on in a backstage role.
