Dean Ambrose Talks Fatal Four Way Match at WWE Payback, Hating Social Media, The Authority’s Reaction If He Wins the WWE Title & More

dean ambroseDean Ambrose is the special guest on this week’s sit down interview with Michael Cole and below are some highlights:

-Cole begins by asking if Ambrose if he ever thought the day would happen where he would be battling for the WWE World Title. Ambrose says “Well yeah.” He added anyone who wants to become great in WWE envisions himself day and night one day competing for the WWE Title. He said he didn’t expect to be in the Payback scenario two weeks ago when he walked into the building in Montreal, but he says sometimes when you’re a paper bag floating in the wind you get caught on a tree and that’s what happened to him. He said good things come your way when you put out positive energy.

-Cole brought up the WWE Universe gravitating towards him, and he said the social media buzz is that Ambrose is the favorite to win on Sunday. Ambrose responded by saying he doesn’t like social media, and he doesn’t need people to know what he is doing at 9am every morning. He says he doesn’t care if people think he’s going to win or not, but that it’s cool if people want him to win. He said he loves Cincinnati, the “dirty, vile” people there are his kind of people. Ambrose says he didn’t get put on the express train to the WWE Title match at Payback, he’s had to work hard, and he likes when people go on that ride with him.

-On what would have happened if The Shield had stayed together, Ambrose said the plan from the start was for The Shield to come into WWE and tear it up, and then go on to become who they are now.

-If Ambrose wins the WWE Title on Sunday, Ambrose said it will be so much fun. He said The Authority will be so upset, and they will stop at nothing to get the title away from him, and he will enjoy that. He said it will be so much fun knowing everyday when he comes into work that The Authority will try to destroy him, and what could be better than that?

-Ambrose closes by saying everyday they are looking for the new “face” of WWE, and he laughs, points to his own face and says on Sunday “this might be it.”
