The official WWE YouTube account has posted a brief look at Finn Balor’s incredible entrance during tonight’s NXT Takeover: Unstoppable opening contest. Balor was in action against Tyler Breeze, winning the match and earning the right to face off against the NXT Champion at some point in the future.
The question remains, however, who will be the NXT Champion by the time Balor decides to cash-in his opportunity? Kevin Owens technically still holds the belt following a “no contest” decision in his main event match with Sami Zayn. However, general manager William Regal got into a physical exchange with the champion after the bout turned into an all-out street fight, and could be heard saying something to the effect of, “I will take it off you” if Owens continued his assault on an unconscious Zayn.
Now with the newly debuted Samoa Joe in the mix, Sami Zayn not technically losing his title match, and Finn Balor as the official #1 contender to the championship, the title picture is perhaps now more interesting than it has ever been before.
