Watch Hideo Itami’s NXT Takeover Attack (VIDEO), Big Update on Samoa Joe in WWE & What Name He’ll Be Using Going Forward

Samoa Joe’s WWE Name Is…

Samoa JoeIt would appear – at least for now – that WWE has no plans in place to change Samoa Joe’s world-famous wrestling name. Not only were the announcers calling him by the name when he made his debut at NXT Takeover, but the very first thing you see on WWE’s official website right now is an article titled “Samoa Joe Stops Owens’ Warpath”.

Of course, all of that could have just been for his debut – the name “Prince Devitt” popped up right before Finn Balor made his own NXT debut – but the fact that WWE is already selling official Samoa Joe merchandise seems to be all the confirmation we need going forward.

Itami Out of Action

WWE has posted a video of the attack that they claim took Hideo Itami out of action. The storyline assault happened on the NXT Takeover pre-show, and is the set-up for a future angle when Itami finally does return to action. While no attacker has been named by the company, it was stronger hinted that NXT Champion Kevin Owens could be behind the incident.
