WWE Superstar Lands Big Villain Role in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” Sequel

sheamusAccording to the UK’s Daily Mail, WWE Superstar Sheamus has landed the role of Rocksteady in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel.

Fans of the classic comic book or animated series may remember Bebop – who will be played by Gary Anthony Williams in the film – and Rocksteady as a pair of mutant warthog and rhinoceros thugs who worked for Shredder, the series’ crime lord and main antagonist. It’s unclear whether or not the script will see Sheamus and Williams mutated into the more iconic giant beasts at some point during the film; they did start out as normal human street gang members in the original cartoon.

The Daily Mail has lots of on-set pictures at the link above, including a look at Sheamus in the film. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is due out June 2016.
