PWInsider.com is reporting new NXT signee Samoa Joe has a new full-time deal in place, but Joe has not actually signed the contract yet. It was previously reported that Joe had a new deal with WWE; both sides have agreed on terms but the contract is still being written.
Joe will be featured on NXT television for several months, instead of going straight to the WWE main roster as it was questioned. Joe will be a focal point on the NXT brand, then will possibly be “fast-tracked” to the main roster, similar to Kevin Owens’ situation.
As far as Joe’s dates with Ring of Honor go, he will still team with AJ Styles against Kazarian and Daniels (The Addiction) at the July 20th tapings. This may likely be Joe’s ‘farewell’ even though ROH wanted to look at using Joe more. This plan was before news of his full-time WWE deal came out, and he will still likely fulfill all other indy dates unless WWE has priority on those conflicting dates.
