WWE kicked off tonight’s Money in the Bank PPV tonight with a tribute to WWE Hall of Famer, the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, who passed away this past week.
The show opened without the usual PPV video package, with the entire WWE roster of Superstars, Divas, broadcasters and several legends and developmental trainers on the stage. The crew was led by Vince McMahon, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at the front of the pack, with U.S. Champion John Cena and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at their side. Daniel Bryan was among the group, alongside wife Brie Bella and Divas Champion Nikki Bella.
Cody Rhodes (aka Stardust) and Goldust were not among the roster members.
They then had a moment of silence and a ten-bell salute to honor the memory of Dusty Rhodes before the entire roster clapped along to his theme song, “Common Man Boogie”.
