First Look at the “New” TNA X-Division Title Belt, Slammiversary Main Event Moved to Television; New Match in the Works

Major Slammiversary Update

impact wrestlingAs we noted, the original World Heavyweight Championship match between Kurt Angle and Ethan Carter III will not be taking place at TNA Slammiversary on June 28th as originally planned. Instead, it will kick off the July 1st edition of Impact Wrestling, being dubbed “Bell to Bell”.

The reason is that with Impact moving to Wednesday nights, they now have to tape four sets of TV tapings between June 24-27th, with Slammiversary on June 28th. There was no way to get through that much television without spoiling the result of Angle vs. EC3 for the PPV. According to PWInsider.com, they are working on a new main event for the show – which still features James Storm vs. Magnus – but the TNA world title will not be defended.

New X-Division Title

TNA President Dixie Carter posted a photo for the “new” X-Division title that’s apparently coming soon.

It’s green. That’s it. I’m looking at side-by-sides of them, and they just decided it needed to be green. I mean, despite the blue matching the logo of the TV show, this was apparently a thing that needed to happen.
