How Long Has Kurt Angle Known About His Neck Tumor? Josh Mathews & Brooke Preview Tonight’s TNA Slammiversary

Kurt Angle Update

impact wrestlingAs we have been reporting, TNA Hall of Famer Kurt Angle will be taking time off to have surgery on a diagnosed tumor in his neck. PWInsider.com is reporting that the Olympic gold medalist has known about the tumor for “about a year” but wasn’t causing problems until recently, leading to muscle atrophy.

The good news is that TNA didn’t tape the segment with Angle until late into their set of Impact Wrestling television tapings this week, so the announcement that he’ll be having surgery won’t be officially made until late July or early August. It is still unknown how much time he will need to recover, but it’s likely he will miss the next set of tapings scheduled for later this summer, which will be the final episodes before Destination America has the ability to cancel their deal with the promotion.
