Wednesday is Wrestling here at Wrestlezone, as we have brand new episodes of WWE NXT, Lucha Underground, Ring of Honor and TNA Impact Wrestling all head-to-head this evening.
Impact Wrestling Preview
It will be ‘Bell-to-Bell’ this week as Kurt Angle defends the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Ethan Carter III as soon as Impact Wrestling hits the air tonight. This match is a long time coming for the 32-year-old EC3, who has been on a warpath since coming to TNA (albeit a controversial, heel-tastic warpath).
A mystery name is being teased to confront TNA Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell, who has been hiding behind the other two members of The Dollhouse for the past few months, using questionable methods to retain her title and dispatch opponents. Who returns to Impact tonight?
After more than a month of excellent, back-and-forth matches, it all comes down to tonight for The Wolves and the Dirty Heels (Aries & Roode), who will finish their Best-of-Five series with an incredible 30-Minute Ironman match for the vacant TNA Tag Team titles.
WWE NXT Preview
Just three days before Kevin Owens defends the NXT Championship in Tokyo, Japan the champ will team up with ECW original Rhyno to take on challenger Finn Balor and another man looking to make an impact on the title picture, Samoa Joe.
Plus, Tyler Breeze returns to action against Tye Dillinger and The Vaudevillians look to take a step back towards the NXT tag team titles.
Ring of Honor Preview
It’s a huge night of excellent wrestling at Ring of Honor on Destination America, airing immediately before Impact Wrestling. Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, the current reigning ROH tag champions, step into the ring against two-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada and New Japan head booker, Gedo.
If that’s not exciting enough, the main event will feature IWGP Heavyweight Champion, the ‘Phenomenal One’ AJ Styles squaring off one-on-one with the returning Adam Cole!
Lucha Underground Preview
It will be a week of firsts, as former TNA wrestler Hernandez takes on Drago for the first time ever, anywhere in the world.
Plus, the Lucha Underground Championship is on the line as Prince Puma steps into the ring against Chavo Guerrero in a never-before-seen match.
