MMA Legend Bashes CM Punk, Says Brock Lesnar’s WWE Decision Was a “Tease”

MMA legend Don Frye spoke to the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling Podcast about many topics. Two of them included his thoughts on Brock Lesnar and CM Punk. Below are highlights and the full interview can be heard here.

Brock Lesnar’s WWE-UFC decision:

“I think it was a tease. He played everybody just like the media did with the whole Baltimore (Riots) thing. Congratulations, I am glad he chose to stay in the Pro Wrestling world. I think Randy (Couture) got a nice pay-off for his contributions to the UFC and to Lesnar’s winning record. They (Frank Mir and Randy Couture) both got a couple of new houses and new cars out of the situation, all of their bills paid for.”

CM Punk’s chances to be successful in the UFC:

“There is absolutely none. They are going to feed him fish. They are going to hand pick an opponent for him so perfect that it will have all of the authenticity of a reality TV show. I think this s–t cheapens the sport. Back when I did it, it was a fight and then it was a sport, now it’s becoming sports entertainment. This cheapens everything that people who came before him did for twenty years.”

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
