Major Name Being Discussed For Undertaker Match at WrestleMania 32

rawThe Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting that that Brock Lesnar is one of only a small handful of names being considered to face The Undertaker at next year’s WrestleMania PPV in Texas. The idea is obviously that ‘Taker would be out for revenge, looking to get his win back from last year’s show.

This could have nothing to do with their program at all, but Lesnar did put Kane out of action this week after a brutal attack, breaking his ankle. Paul Heyman has also mentioned the Deadman in virtually every promo he’s cut since WrestleMania XXX, and the rematch does basically write itself. The only major problem is that Lesnar has been put over as a babyface since his return, and they would likely have to turn him again way too quickly to make this match happen.

A rumor started going around over the past week that Kevin Owens might challenge the Undertaker next year, as he is expected to come out of his program with John Cena on the winning end, and continue to receive a big push with strong booking going into 2016. Apparently, Vince McMahon already has an idea in place for next year’s PPV, and Owens is not currently that guy.

The only other semi-obvious name that comes to mind for most people is Sting.

As we have noted ad nauseam, WrestleMania 32 will be the biggest show in company history, as Vince McMahon (and everyone, really) is pushing to break the 100,000 mark at AT&T Stadium.
