Backstage News on NXT Divas Being Brought Up To The WWE Main Roster, Arguments On Other Ideas For Their Big Debut

Prior to them debuting on Raw last week, WWE creative apparently had a bunch of ideas on how to bring up the group of NXT Divas to the main roster. It got to the point where many were arguing about ideas and wanting the debut to be perfect.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there was an idea that the new Divas should come in, get rid of the old Divas and essentially “transplant” the NXT Women’s division to the main roster. They would try to keep a few of the Divas, primarily the ones that were on Total Divas.

Stephanie McMahon was always planning to be involved and that was never debated. There were discussions if she should look like a “face” in this scenario or try to maintain the gimmick she has had in The Authority.

At some points in the discussions they were going to bring up four Divas or even have just two of them. Mostly, Charlotte was the one constant that would come up no matter who else joined.

It’s said that both Triple H and Stephanie are supporting this angle intensely.
