Jim Ross Q&A: Who Decides HOF Inductees?, Do Total Divas & Tough Enough Hurt the Business?, Is Kane Underrated?, Hogan Hypocrisy

jim ross Q&AA new Jim Ross Q&A has been posted over at JRsBarBQ.com, and below are some highlights:

How are Hall of Fame names picked:

“I assume [Vince] McMahon makes the final decisions, but I can’t be sure as I don’t work there any longer but I’ve had the opportunity in the past when I did work there to make suggestions.”

Do shows like Total Divas and Tough Enough expose and hurt the business:

“I think that we are well passed the world of going too far as it relates to the curtain being pulled back. So, no I don’t think that those types of shows hurt the business.”

Is Kane underrated:

Kane is  a hall  of fame level talent who has and continues to be a viable and valuable asset to WWE. He’s an even better person.  No promotion can get too many “Kanes’s” that’s for sure.”

Has JR ever had a backstage issue with Hogan:

“As I said in my blog on this website, I never knew of Hogan to be a racist. He’s not unlike many top level stars, he can be problematic at times doing business but that goes for many, many talents.”

Isn’t the Hogan situation reaction a little hypocritical given the fact that they still work with Austin who had domestic abuse issues whether they are true or not or got swept under the proverbial rug and Flair (who will probably be Hulk’s replacement on Tough Enough and other ventures that they had planned for Hogan one may assume) even though he has been seen as being homophobic in the past?

“You’re not out of line ever for expressing your opinion here. Whether I agree or not is another issue but that’s subjective too. I believe in forgiveness and that people can change including Hogan who never had the rep as a racist until this matter arose.”
