Jim Ross Blog: Paul Heyman’s Raw Promo, The Miz’s Role on Tough Enough, Rousey vs Cyborg, Divas Taking a Backseat to NXT Call-Ups

jim ross blogA new Jim Ross blog has been posted over at JRsBarBQ.com, and below are some highlights:

“@HeymanHustle promo on RAW Monday was arguably one of his best ever. If any wrestler or wannabe who wants to understand the art of verbally telling a story and can listen to only one person in the business then make that one person Happy Heyman. It makes me proud that I was in a position to give him his first, national break on TV back in the WCW days. For me, it was easy to see that he was a special talent and he’s proven to be even more extraordinary than I predicted. I loved working with him even though he was could be like an ornery, little brother at times but make no mistake about it we jelled because we had mutual respect for each other and we both made it in the business when the majority of those in it did not endorse or predict our success.”

“Do not bet against Cris Cyborg facing Ronda Rousey in a mega fight in 2016 as there is too much money involved in this ‘dream fight’ for it not to go down. Cyborg needs to be steroid and performance enhancing drug free but the reward for her playing by the rules is the biggest check that she will ever earn. It’s all about the money folks and making the fans happy which is promoting 101.”

“Miz has been a positive addition to the Tough Enough panel of judges. I still say Miz’ future is as a manager or a broadcaster and that he can be a major star at either role for years.”

On veteran Divas taking a backseat to NXT call-ups:

“That’s largely up to them. If you give mgmt enough reasons to NOT put you in the ‘back seat’ then it’s more challenging to find your self there.”
