WWE Teasing New NXT Diva Could Debut at Takeover Brooklyn

As announced, The Vaudevillains will get another shot at the NXT Tag Team Titles as they will face Blake and Murphy for the titles at the NXT Takeover Brooklyn special on 8/22.

The last time The Vaudevillains received a title shot, it was ruined by interference from Alexa Bliss, which has lead to speculation that a new NXT Diva might debut at the Brooklyn event and side with The Vaudevillains.

We noted yesterday that several NXT Divas, including The Rock’s cousin Lina Fanene, Jessie McCay and KC Cassidy have all been given new ring names in WWE, so it’s possible one of those new Divas could debut at the special to aid The Vaudevillains.

WWE.com has posted the following, hinting at a possible new NXT Diva debut:

NXT General Manager William Regal granted the old school duo a championship rematch at the Barclays Center on Aug. 22, but suggested that English & Gotch find a way to counteract Alexa Bliss this time around. Can The Vaudevillians neutralize the ever-present threat of Alexa Bliss, or will Blake & Murphy manage to walk out of Brooklyn with the NXT Tag Team Championship? Find out at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, live on WWE Network Saturday, Aug. 22 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT!

High School Photo of The Rock Gets Mainstream Press

The Rock recently posted the photo below on Instagram, and it has since gained some mainstream media attention from at Entertainment Weekly, The Huffington Post, US Weekly and The Daily Caller.

#TBT By the time I was 16 yrs old, I had already enrolled in four high schools across the country due to being evicted and lil’ trouble with the law.. McKinley HS (Honolulu, HI), Glencliff HS (Nashville, TN), McGavock HS (Nashville, TN), Freedom HS (Bethlehem, PA). I was also 6’4 225lbs, rockin’ a dead caterpillar on my lip (aka the porn ‘stache) and all the kids in every high school thought I was an undercover cop cause I looked like a mutated, yet handsome SOB of a man child. Plus in Nashville I was already hangin’ out in honey tonk dive bars on Music Row and hustlin’ cars from crackheads. Yup, one of the many reasons why I’m a grateful man for the life I have today and also grateful I straight up kicked puberty’s ass early in life. #GodBlessSamoanAndBlackGenetics #AndGodBlessOurTeenageYears #AndWTFWasIThinkingWithThisMustache

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
