Jimmy Snuka Trial Updates

Jimmy_Snuka_3The Morning Call’s Laurie Mason Schroeder has posted an article with several updates about the Jimmy Snuka case. You can read the full article by clicking HERE.

Updates about the case include:

  • Leigh County prosecutors are looking to bypass the preliminary hearing which would save months of court time. Chief Deputy District Attorney Charles Gallagher is arguing that a preliminary hearing is not needed as a Grand Jury has already provided a thorough probe. Gallagher had the following to say, “Simply put, to require lengthy, complex testimony from an investigating grand jury to be repeated, for the sole purpose of establishing probable cause a second time, could be considered not only a waste of scarce grand jury and judicial time, but also a repetitious, costly, and superfluous layer of delay before trial.
  • A hearing on the motion is scheduled before Judge Maria L. Dantos on 10/7/15
  • Attorney William E. Moore, who accompanied Snuka when he surrendered, said Wednesday that he no longer represents the former wrestler. Court records do not list another attorney for Snuka.
