What’s Left In The Future For John Cena In WWE? Reaction To Possible Storyline With Dolph Ziggler

The opening segment of Chair Shot Reality is all things John Cena. Discussion on what’s left for him to do in WWE. One suggestion involves an opponent and another suggestion involves a booking strategy potentially for one or two times. Plus, reaction to the possibility of Cena having a storyline with Dolph Ziggler and it playing off of events on Total Divas.

Shane Shoemaker also wrote a blog for CSRWrestling.com talking about questions that need asked regarding John Cena. Here’s a sample:

If you’ve been keeping up with the latest wrestling news, you know by now that John Cena will be taking time off — after Hell in a Cell until late December — for “personal reasons”. That leaves plenty of questions to be asked, because it goes without saying that John Cena is the most popular superstar in the company, the biggest money draw they have.

Why?

That’s the biggest question of them all. Personal reasons are definitely just that. Personal. But it does make one question what could be going on in the life of the current U.S. champion. Is there an injury that we don’t know about that Cena and WWE is keeping under wraps, even though that’s been denied? The Nikki Bella marriage rumor has been put to rest as well. Is it finally that time where Cena is saying — and most importantly, his body — that it’s time to take a much needed break. Minus some injuries, Cena has been on a full-time schedule for almost twelve years. Time off may do wonders for Cena and the WWE audience in that they can have a reason to miss him.

Who steps up?

As of the looks of things right now, Dolph Ziggler might receive yet another push by possibly capturing the U.S. title from Cena. Of course, there’s always the option of one (or all) of The New Day members capturing the title from Cena. However, since Cena has been removed from all dates after Hell in a Cell, Dean Ambrose has been prominently penciled in as a replacement for the former fifteen time world heavyweight champion. There’s always Roman Reigns to consider as well, as he is still somewhat considered the heir apparent to Cena’s throne of being the top guy of the company for the future, and creative may be doing all they can in preparation for another big time match for WrestleMania in April. But don’t forget, there’s always Randy Orton.

*Who should step up

I would have liked to have seen Stardust step up in this situation. Having Stardust answer the U.S. Open Challenge one night on Raw, or taking him out at Hell in a Cell, allowing Ziggler (or whoever) to beat Cena for the title. Stardust would eventually cut a promo saying he was tired of beating the sidekicks (Neville) and instead went after the real hero of it all, Cena. It would be the classic hero versus villain; and adding the rest of the Cosmic Kingdom as his “henchmen” to help take out Cena would play out well. Cody Rhodes believes in every character he’s ever played, his promos would have sold this feud, and his other villainous antics.
