Raw kicks off with Kane backstage on the phone with The Authority. Seems they are having travel issues and will not be there until much later in the show. Kane promises to be an absolute professional until they arrive. Kane calls the production assistant over and tells her to go tell Seth Rollins that he has a lumberjack match tonight… Against Kane.

Dean Ambrose makes his way down the ramp. Ambrose welcomes the crowd to Monday Night Raw. Ambrose says he is more of an action speaks louder than words kinda guy and right now he is looking for a fight. Randy Orton’s music hits and Orton looks like he has something to say. Orton says that he heard that Ambrose is going to be in the fight of his life against Luke Harper and Braun Strowman at Hell and a Cell. Orton announces that he will be Ambrose’s partner. Orton and Ambrose trade jabs about who should lead the team. Ambrose says he has never trusted Orton. Orton says he can’t blame him because most of the time he can’t trust himself.

The New Day interrupts and brags about taking out John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, and the Dudley Boyz. Xavier tells Ambrose that if his memory serves, The S.H.I.E.L.D . never accomplished that. He turns to Orton that The Authority never did that, neither did Legacy, or Evolution. Kane appears on the ‘tron and turns this into a tag team match.

Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton vs The New Day

Ambrose and Kingston start the match. Ambrose sends Kingston to the outside and almost takes him out via an outside dive, but Kingston moves out of the way. Thankfully Ambrose catches himself on the ropes before flying to the outside.
