Sami Zayn and EVOLVE

As noted, WWE NXT star Sami Zayn appeared at last weekend’s EVOLVE 49 and 50 iPPV events in New York City.

According to PWInsider.com, the deal was put together very quickly, and as of two weeks ago it wasn’t even on the table. Zayn reportedly had a great time at the events and spent a considerable amount of time signing autographs and meeting with fans.

In today’s wrestler birthday news, Former WCW star Dale “KISS Demon” Torborg turns 44 years old, former WCW and WWF star Gary “The Italian Stallion” Sabaugh turns 58 and Bill Dundee turns 72.

JR’s Hell in a Cell Pick

In a new blog posted over at JRsBarBQ.com, Jim Ross offered the following thoughts on Sunday’s Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt Hell in a Cell match:

“Great time to have Roman Reigns get a definitive win over Bray Wyatt in the 2nd, HIAC match Sunday, or first if you’re thinking the order of events, and then not beat Roman again leading into Wrestlemania Texas. That’s Reigns best chance to ‘get over’ as a star heading into Texas in April 2016.”

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
