Big Backstage Update on Original Survivor Series Plans for Roman Reigns and How Seth Rollins’ Injury Might Have Changed Things

roman-reigns-3 As noted, there were creative plans in place for Roman Reigns to win the WWE World Title before the end of the year, and according to last night’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Reigns was slated to win the title at Survivor Series this year.

This was the plan until Seth Rollins injured his knee, however, and now plans in WWE might have changed as Meltzer noted the following:

“Roman was going to win it at Survivor Series, that was the plan, I figured it, but I didn’t know for sure, but in fact it is for sure, he was going to win it at Survivor Series, I don’t know if he’s going to win the tournament, because they have to get a heel hot.”

WWE has yet to announce who will exactly participate in the WWE World Title tournament beginning on Raw tonight, but Reigns is of course expected to be involved. However at this point it seems he is not necessarily a lock to win the tournament, which will culminate at Survivor Series.

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
