Abyss Reveals He Turned Down a WWE Deal in 2006 and Possible Undertaker Feud

TNA star Abyss appeared on the most recent edition of “The Ross Report” podcast which you can listen to in full at this link.

During the interview, Abyss revealed he was offered a WWE deal back in 2006, and John Laurinaitis informed Abyss that he would be fast-tracked to the main event scene in a possible feud with The Undertaker.

Tommy Dreamer, who was working backstage in WWE at the time, felt Abyss turned down the WWE offer because he had “cold feet”, but Abyss said otherwise. Abyss said it was very hard for him to leave TNA back in 2006, as that was one of the hottest times for the company. “I would rather have been part of something…versus taking the chance of going somewhere and just being a number,” Abyss said.

Abyss added that he has many friends in WWE and was very appreciative of WWE’s offer, noting “I’m sure it’s an amazing place to work.”
