It was reported earlier this week that Brock Lesnar has been added to a January 8th live event in Houston.

The Toyota Center tweeted out the news of Lesnar’s return to Houston, but it was unclear if this would be turned into a WWE Network special, like Lesnar’s last two live event appearances in Tokyo and New York City. The Wrestling Observer noted that this seems too soon to promote another live special, as it’s been speculated that the December 19th show at the Forum in Los Angeles could be the next Network special.

Lesnar’s new WWE contract did have new dates and money negotiated in to the deal, which could explain his newly advertised appearances, but as of right now, neither event is confirmed for a WWE Network broadcast.

Stu Hart

Even though there is a petition to rename the Calgary airport after legendary wrestling promoter and trainer Stu Hart, it is most likely not happening. The petition for Hart was described as a joke in response to media personality Ezra Harper, who petitioned to name it after Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Harper is from Calgary and will be leaving his position, and the Hart petition was said to be more “anti-Harper” than “pro-Hart.”
