Rey Mysterio vs Johnny Mundo Announced to Decide the New AAA Mega Heavyweight Champion

rey mysterio At the Guerra de Titanes event on December 4th at Feria de Tampico in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico, AAA will crown a new Mega Heavyweight Champion.

Alberto Del Rio was the previous Mega Champion and had the title when he re-signed with WWE and defeated John Cena to become the new United States Champion at Hell in a Cell. Following the PPV Del Rio vacated the AAA Title.

AAA Executive Vice President Dorian Roldan originally announced that a tournament would be held in December to crown a new champion, but instead a singles match between Mundo and Mysterio will decide the new Champion.

AAA has announced that the Mysterio vs Mundo bout will headline the upcoming Guerra de Titanes event on December 4th, and below is the updated event card:

– AAA Mega Heavyweight Title Match: Rey Mysterio vs. Johnny Mundo

-The Psycho Circus vs. El Texano Jr, El Hijo del Fantasma and a mystery partner

-Blue Demon Jr, Electroshock & La Parka vs. Anarquia (Daga, El Hijo de Pirata Morgan & Steve Pain)

-Aerostar, Drago & Fenix vs. Brian Cage, Mesias & Taurus

-AAA Tag Title Match: Champions Jack Evans & Angelico vs. Joe Lider & Pentagon Jr. vs. Averno & Chessman

-Argenis & Dinastia & Fabi Apache vs. Willie Mack & Mini Charly Manson & Taya Valkyrie

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
