According to PWInsider.com, the reason the upcoming TNA Tour Of India was postponed was safety and logistics issues.
It was also asked if low ticket sales were a reason for the postponement, but PWI says this is not the case as Sony Six, TNA’s TV partner in India, was paying for tickets and promotion of the scheduled events.
TNA was planning to tape a number of One Night Only pay-per-views as well as Impact Wrestling content; they had just announced the semi-finals of the TNA World Title Series would be taped on this same tour. It was previously reported that TNA already filmed this round of matches this summer but were redoing them, so they could always air that filmed content.
TNA doesn’t have any live events scheduled until January, and talents are now scrambling to fill in dates. Wrestlezone spoke with a few TNA roster members who are understandably upset with this sudden announcement, noting that they were depending on this paycheck from the India tour, and this was the same thing that happened with a cancelled tour of China.
