On what led to Brad Maddox’s release from WWE:

RS: It’s kind of a bummer. He was released after he did a promo. During the promo during a dark match, not even something they were airing, he called the crowd “cocky pricks.” So, he was released from the company because apparently it wasn’t what he was told to say and it made Vince unhappy. My favorite part is that he’s already made a joke out of the whole thing. He’s no longer going to be called “Brad Maddox” on the independent scene. He’s going to be “Mad Braddox”. I love it because he’s already opened up a Pro Wrestling Tees store and one of the shirts that he’s designed says, “Cocky Pricks.” Which is so great. Such a Brad Maddox thing to do.

On whether having Mad Braddox on TNA Impact Wrestling’s debut episode on POP TV is a good idea:

RS: I think it would be cool if they stacked up on a few guys like him and Solomon Crowe (Sami Callihan). They love those invasion type angles. I think it would be cool if they were both in TNA in some capacity. They were both underutilized in WWE and NXT. I do think Brad Maddox is going to crush it. I hope that he’s at All-Star Weekend for PWG. I have a feeling that since he was in the front row, I don’t know how long ago, but when he sat down in the front row at a PWG show. I think he’s been there a few times since. Just not in the front row. I have a feeling that might be the first place we see him.

On the possibility that Rocky Romero could be added as a trainer down in WWE NXT now that Billy Gunn has been released:

RS: I only have basic knowledge on this one right now. I was only able to get a little bit about the stuff I was able to put up. I mentioned that Billy Gunn thing just because prior to Adam Pierce and a few of the people that are trainers there now. They kind of went in there for a day. Sarah Stock is the other one that kind of went in there for a day or two. Did a little guest training spot and then a month or two down the line is when they got picked up as trainers. I know Rocky has been training people for Championship Wrestling From Hollywood. Their new crop of talent. When they have new guys coming in. This isn’t his first time training. He’s got lots of training experience and he’s got lots of experience in the industry. He’s been wrestling since he was really young. I don’t know if they are looking to hire him but it is a little telling considering that he’s with two other companies that they would bring him down. That they have that much faith in him. It’s a good chance that maybe, like I was saying in the article, with Billy Gunn out they do have an open spot to fill.
