The Run-In

joey ryanShane Shoemaker has a piece called “The Run-In” every Saturday on CSRWrestling.com. It’s a quick, light-hearted roundup of some headlines. Here’s a sample:

“Genital Power”

Yes, you just watched a man wiener-plex another man (there’s no way to say that without it sounding bad)… But talk about penis envy, huh? This is what Joey Ryan, the man behind the power of penis-tivity said in regards as to how this came about.

Courtesy of VICE sports:

“I have to give credit where credit is due—Danshoku Dino, who I was wrestling in the match, he plays a very unorthodox character, very homoerotic to say the least. Part of his offense is to inappropriately touch and grab opponents for the thrill of it, or maybe to throw them off their game a bit. He speaks very little English, but wrestlers can usually speak wrestling, so we understand something. So we’re going over the match and he says ‘Maybe I grab, maybe you no sell, because American **** so big and so strong.’ So it was kind of his idea. We both play sexual characters so it fit with us.”

First of all, if you didn’t read Danshoku Dino’s words in an Asian accent, you’re all liars. Second of all, I know when it comes to being in the ring with each other, you’re boiling it down to two dudes in their man-panties sweating over top of each other — you’ve all heard that from someone you know that hates wrestling I’m sure — but to grab another mans junk that’s in his trunks — goes to another level entirely. This puts anything that Goldust did to absolute shame.

I know absolute nothing about any of these guys, but they’ve made — Joey Ryan in particular — big headlines with this, even making it to ESPN. I mean, it’s not every day a mans genitals suplexes someone.

Here’s a couple more things on this:

1. For goodness sakes never show a highlight video of this guys workout regime.

2. If Joey Ryan doesn’t have a book called, “Swedish-Made Penis Enlarger Pumps And Me: (This sort of thing is my bag, baby),” then what’s he good for at this point?

3. Hulk Hogan wishes he could Hulk-up like this guy.

4. Please tell me this guys entrance theme is “The Stroke” by Billy Squier?

Dana White is ‘Looking for a fighter’

Dana White has now started a reality show based on finding an opponent for CM Punk’s future debut match in UFC. I have no problem with this in that it’s a good business idea and it will probably bring in descent ratings and money. But isn’t this sad that he’s looking for an opponent for Punk in that the person he picks he’s hoping isn’t going to be that good? Wouldn’t you think that? Punk is and more than likely will be a draw, so Dana surely doesn’t want him looking bad in his first fight. I mean, if the guy is too good, Punk can, and more than likely will lose and look terrible. So, do you pick the worst out of the group? It will be interesting to see how this comes off on television and how it’s judged in who is picked and what the qualities will be in picking Punk’s opponent.

FIRED UP

Chair Shot Reality video podcast second of three videos for the weekend is now out. FIRED UP has Josh Isenberg and Brian Gulish getting heated on things they like and don’t. Here’s each guy giving 1 of their 3 FIRED UP’S:

Josh Isenberg:

Finn vs Joe is good. It’s really good cause WWE took Samoa Joe and made him into the badass he was in TNA. I know you probably didn’t watch that, but I’m fired up about this match. Two completely different styles. A big fast powerful guy of Finn Balor. He could be the excellence of execution. Yes, I’m not talking about Bret “The Hitman” Hart and yes I’m talking about a guy who should be on the main roster by January. Cash me in, bring me the money!

Brian Gulish:

What’s not bringing the money is 54 million stables on the main roster. Wyatt’s, New Day, League of Nations, soon to be Family, Dudley’s slash ECW deal. So many all in stables. 18 guys in stables. About 3 guys out there not in a stable. Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens and Tyler Breeze. Will be hard pressed to find anyone else not in one.
