On what she is looking for out of women’s wrestling in Global Force Wrestling:

KJ: There’s so much great talent out there. These women work just as hard as the men do. Some of them harder than the men do. They do the same training… they work so hard. I’ll give you an example, Gail Kim got recognition she deserved. There’s so many women in this business that don’t get recognized or they don’t get the attention or they don’t get the same respect that the men do. That’s what I am focusing on. I’m going to make sure that the women aren’t pushed to the side. If you look back at ratings, when women are on the ratings are up. It’s not just whipping out tits and ass. It’s women out there working their butts off putting on a match and entertaining the fans. I feel, and I am going to make sure that it happens, that the women get the same respect that the men get.

On whether there is room for “T & A” as well as strong women’s wrestling:

KJ: Absolutely. Look at Ronda Rousey. She’s helped to start this for women with ultimate fighting. We work just as hard. There are a lot of great minds in women’s wrestling. Mickie James has a great mind for the wrestling business. In the ring, outside of the ring… women do deserve that. I am going to make sure that in GFW that happens.

On whether or not Mickie James is a formal member of the GFW roster:

KJ: My goodness, I’m not sure if I am allowed to say if she is or not. In my mind she is. How about that?

On whether or not she thinks that her ex-husband Kurt Angle will ever have an actual MMA match in Bellator or the UFC:

KJ: I hope not for his kids sake. I am hoping that he just goes on to movies or something. I think Kurt’s always had that little bug that he wants to do that. Do I know if that’s going to happen or not? Or if it’s a reality? I don’t. I don’t but I know Kurt loves the ultimate fighting. He’s always wanted to do it. Do I think he’s capable of going in there and kicking someone’s ass? Absolutely.
