Former WWE Ref Offers Predictions On The Rock At WrestleMania 32 & Recalls Memories Working With Him

jimmy-korderasJimmy Korderas, former WWE referee for over 20 years, wrote a new blog on CSRWrestling.com about The Rock at WrestleMania 32. Here’s an excerpt:

When the Rock makes a big announcement, not only the WWE Universe but the whole world stands up and takes notice. Arguably the biggest star on the planet took to Instagram this week to announce that he will be at WrestleMania 32 emanating from AT&T Stadium in Texas. As of right now, we do not know what role he will have at the annual spectacular. Will he just make an appearance? Will he actually have a match? Rest assured he will make a significant impact on the event regardless of what he does.

What the Rock will or will not be able to do at WrestleMania may be out of his or the WWE’s hands. His movie commitments may prohibit him from getting too physically involved. If that is the case, here is one possible scenario for him.

Contrary to my good friend Justin LaBar’s thoughts that Roman Reigns should face HHH at the Royal Rumble and Cena at WrestleMania; and he makes a great argument for it in his article, I still think that the HHH/Reigns match is better suited to take place at WrestleMania. It all ties into what I would like to see at the Rumble. HHH wins the Rumble and goes on to face Reigns for the WWE title at WM32. (I will give more details on how I think it will go down in a future blog)

With Mr. McMahon becoming an important piece of the puzzle these last few weeks, I can see Vince trying to make life miserable for Reigns for the time being but failing to accomplish his goal of taking the title from the champion. Then HHH returns with a vengeance to do the job himself. At WrestleMania, Hunter pulls out all the stops including enlisting the aid of others to help him. Everyone from the League of Nations to DX to J&J Security attempt to help the COO but run into a family roadblock. The Usos led by the Rock can come down to help their cousin fend off all the interference. Rock can do some limited physicality without too much risk of injury. The only thing is that Roman Reigns should be the only one to get his hands on HHH. He should defeat Hunter and the only help he should receive is the family not allowing the others to interfere. Evening the playing field is the only thing Rock should do otherwise it takes away from Reigns’ victory.

Now assuming that the Rock can actually participate in a match at WrestleMania, here is a way to make that happen. If LaBar is correct and HHH faces Roman Reigns at the Rumble, simple booking should be the order of the day. Rock can get involved much in the same way I mapped out the WrestleMania match between HHH and Reigns. With Rock’s involvement costing HHH the match, Hunter challenges Rock to one final match between the two at WrestleMania 32. These two have had some great rivalries in the past and their chemistry is incredible.

Just to add a little spice to the match, with Stephanie in Hunter’s corner maybe if Rhonda Rousey is available she can accompany the Rock. I know she suffered her first MMA loss but she is still one of if not the biggest name in UFC and definitely marketable. The match already has huge marquee value but Rousey gives it even more mainstream appeal.
