This week’s episode of WWE Smackdown is expected to bring in a pretty bad rating due to the show airing on New Year’s Eve, and the show is facing competition from college football bowl games.
Traditionally, New Year’s Eve is a bad night for WWE television in general, but it’s even worse when going up against the college playoff games.
Dana Brooke
It has been reported that Dana Brooke has been sidelined with an undisclosed shoulder injury.
Brooke hasn’t been wrestling since October, and her injury has been featured on the WWE Network’s “Breaking Ground” series. According to the Observer, this is the reason Brooke didn’t work the European tour, and there is some backstage negativity about doing a worked angle on a supposed ‘shoot’ show like Breaking Ground.
