NXT Champion Finn Balor and NXT Women’s Champion Bayley talking about staying in NXT has been a major talking point, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Balor and Bayley have been on record in interviews saying they’re happy staying with NXT for now; there was some concern for Balor’s health since he is 34 and will be working a lot as a headliner for NXT before he even gets to the WWE roster. NXT was supposed to get Balor ready for the main roster so he could make a lot of money, not wear him out before he even reaches that point. Balor is being looked at as the main attraction for the NXT brand going into the 2016 tours.
As far as Bayley is concerned, it’s being said that there is “no in between” for her as far as her success goes. Bayley is looked at as the ‘female John Cena’, where should could do charity work and bring female fans in, but there’s concern that if they wait too long to call her up to the main roster, her character might come off as dated or lose the organic type of connection that she has in NXT.
