How To Debut Enzo & Big Cass On WWE RAW

wwe rawBlake Mitchamore wrote a new blog for CSRWrestling.com talking about the right way to introduce Enzo & Big Cass to the WWE main roster audience. Here’s a sample:

Some people were hoping for the debut of Enzo and Big Cass at RAW in Brooklyn recently. Yes, in theory that would have been a great place for them to make their debut. Personally, I don’t think bringing Enzo and Big Cass out for a cold debut is the right strategy.

Enzo and Big Cass are characters; they aren’t this wave of Sami Zayn, Neville and Kevin Owens who just are guys who “wrestle”. You need to treat Enzo and Big Cass like you used to treat all characters. Picture the Razor Ramon vignettes in Miami or even the vignettes of The Mountie in Canada. That’s how you prepare for the debut of Enzo and Big Cass

Scene:  New Jersey Neighborhood

Enzo Amore is on the corner talking fast as only he can around a group of typical stereotypical New Jersey Mobster types (picture a scene from The Sopranos). While this is going on, Big Cass is in the background with a menacing look. Enzo shouts out “Bada Boom, Realest Guy In the Room!” Then, a much larger man grabs him and looks to beat him down. Just then, the stoic Big Cass violently steps in and lays the guy out while standing over him he tells him “You know why I did that too you? You’re SAWFT.  Followed quickly by Enzo who says “S-A-W-F-T.”  Cue the music…

I would love to see the WWE really play off the Italian stereotypes with Enzo and Big Cass. Give us the feeling that they came from these old neighborhoods we’ve seen in The Soprano’s or movies like GoodFellas. Let Enzo Amore be the fast talking guy with little man’s syndrome who always gets into trouble. Big Cass needs to be his vicious soft talking seven-foot tall insurance policy. Instead of Big Cass screaming “There’s only one word to describe you and I’m gonna spell it out of you,” he needs to look at the camera very calmly and say, “You know why that happened? Because You’re Sawft.”  Let Enzo be the one to spell out S-A-W-F-T, Enzo is the comic relief and the humor in the group. Big Cass needs to be the quiet and confident muscle that gets the job done.

I would produce weeks of vignettes for Enzo and Big Cass leading up to their eventual debut. Start slow introducing the two of them and then after a couple of weeks introduce Carmella into the fold.
